Before using your Natural Sea Sponge, be sure to wet it under warm water to soften.
Sea Sponges are by nature stiff when dry, but become very soft when wet.
After use, simply rinse with clean water, squeeze the water out and leave it in a dry place.Use one tablespoon of baking soda per cup of warm water, soak your sponge for 15 minutes each week. Then leave it in a dry place and allow to air dry. (Baking soda revitalises the sponge's cellular structure for increased durability. Sea Sponges naturally inhibit the growth of bacteria, regular cleaning as well as allowing sponges to dry completely after each use, offer the best protection against bacteria in your sponge.
1. Never boil or microwave your sea sponge or dry it in a dryer as this will harden your sponge.
2. Never use bleach or any other product containing chlorine bleach, as it will damage the sponge.
3. Squeeze to dry. Do not twist or pull your sponge.Natural Sea Sponges are not manufactured, but harvested from the sea. As a result, variations in shapes are natural. The colour can also change, as the Sea is rich in sea minerals that your body loves such as, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium, Iron, Calcium, Zinc and much more. Some sponges, but not all, will have colour variation due to the minerals where the sponge is grown.
A bleached natural sea sponge is a sponge that went through an extra process that uses a peroxide solution to bleach the sponge in a golden yellow colour.
Unbleached natural sea sponges have not been treated chemically, they retain their natural colour longer and offers a great solution for people with sensitive skin.DUE TO HYGIENE REASONS, SEA SPONGES PRODUCTS CANNOT BE RETURNED.
